RSV predominates, Rota is picking up!

There are still reports of Influenza A (and an occasional influenza B) being reported from the 4 hospital sites, but RSV abounds! Last week alone we had 87 positive tests (almost twice as many as the weekk before), and at one of the hospitals, almost 40% of the tests submitted for RSV were positive!
Historically, once influenza is gone, it is gone. But we will keep you informed of any increases should we see any.
We are also seeing an increase in the numbers stools positive for rotavirus. At one of the sites, between 40 and 50% of the samples submitted have been positive for rotavirus.
